Distinguished Visiting Lecturer in Criminal Justice Lecture Series

The Department of Criminal Justice Administration has formally created a “Distinguished Visiting Lecturer in Criminal Justice Lecture Series.” The Department has had several distinguished lecturers over the past several years, and the creation of this Lecture Series will allow the Department to provide each future distinguished visiting speaker with a “title” exactly like the “North Hall Library Visiting Scholar “ does each year.

Distinguished Visiting Lecturers” will be designated as such, regardless whether they were/are brought in to speak directly by the Department, or if they were nominated by a member of the CJA faculty, like Roy Hazelwood was in 2005, 2006, and 2007, (Roy Hazelwood was brought in under the auspices of Mansfield University’s Center for Life Long Education) and Dr. Katherine Ramsland in September 2008. (Dr. Ramsland was brought in under the auspices of the North Hall Library.) Both Roy Hazelwood and Dr. Ramsland would never have come here unless they were not specifically recommended by a CJA faculty member.
