A.S. CJ Administration

In 1995, the two year Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in criminal justice administration was approved. The AS degree in CJA consists of 18 credit hours of required core courses and 12 credit hours of electives. The required core courses cover the major areas of criminal justice administration. Elective courses represent areas of particular interest (i.e. Criminal Justice Policy, Violent Criminal Behavior, Crime and Delinquency Prevention, Criminal Justice Ethics, etc.) Many of our courses are offered under the "Special Topics" designation. Program Requirements

Take the following 6 courses:

CJA 1100 - Introduction to Criminal Justice
CJA 2200 - Survey of Policing
CJA 2201 - Survey of Corrections

Take one course from the PSC prefix (3 credits)
Take one course from the PSY prefix (3 credits)
Take one course from the SOC prefix (3 credits)


Take 12 credits (4 courses) from the following list:
